Magnetic Silica Beads

Magnetic Silica Beads are regularly shaped with a spherical geome tryanda core-shell type structure, bearing a super paramagnetic ironoxide core and auniform silica shell. These series of microbeads are all submicroninsize, and the hydrophilicity of the silica surface guarantees excellent dispersibility of the beads in water. They are frequently used in nucleic acid extraction and purification. The size distribution of magnetic Silica Beads is relatively broad, though the performance of those beads is not greatly affected. Magnetic silica beads with silanol groups on their surface can extract DNA and RNA from blood, cell culture fluids, animal and plant tissues, and forensic samples. Carboxyl-functionalized magnetic silica beads are suitable for the purification of PCR products and the size selection of NGS fragments. Other functionalized groups (amine,thiol,epoxy,etc.) modified magnetic Silica Microspheres are available as customized products.
